Cased Smith & Wesson New Model 1-1/2 Second Issue in Box
Old West
.32 Rimfire. 3,5" barrel length. SN: 53120. Nickel plated refinish overall with blued small parts and round barrel featuring a fluted barrel rib and mounting rosewood birdshead grips. Single action tip-up five-shot cartridge revolver featuring an ejector rod mounted in parallel with the barrel, and a half-moon front blade and cylinder stop notch rear sight. Single line address to the top of the barrel rib reads SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. PAT. APR. 3. 58. JULY 5. 59 & NOV. 21. 65. Fluted cylinder is struck with a W initial to the rear face with further WD initials on the rear barrel. The right grip panel is serial numbered to the revolver, and matches the number on the frame. Comes in a wood presentation case with leatherette outer liner, blue silk lined lid, and blue felt base. The lid bears the golden initials G. G. Bauer. in Gothic script.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is Frosty with some oxidation and patina throughout and strong rifling. Frame shows pitting, oxidation, and a dark brown patina on the butt, rendering the serial number difficult to read. Nickel finish has taken on a milky color overall with flaking to the flanks of the hammer, and on the interior of the topstrap. There is are two deep nicks to the edges of the frame on each side of the hammer recess.. Blued finish on the cylinder stop exhibits brown flecking overall while the trigger has taken on a brown patina. Grips exhibit some scattered scuffs. The box displays abrasions, mars, and some flaking along the outer edges with the right panels broken out of the lid and base. Interior lining is stained with some splits forming to the silk lining of the lid. Action of the revolver fails to index the cylinder.
