Fagnus & Clement "New-Design Bulldog" Revolver Copy
Old West
.44 Centerfire. 2.5" barrel length. SN: NSN. Nickel plated finish overall with two piece pearl birdshead grips and engraved overall. Double action loading gate five-shot revolver with octagonal barrel and mounting topstrap notch and front blade sights. The cylinder and frame show zigzag and bead engraving overall with some floral scroll over the rear frame. Left frame is marked with the F&C design for Fagnus & Clement with right frame showing a {Star/D} Belgian proof marking, along with a similar mark to the rear cylinder. Cylinder likewise shows a circled ELG Belgian proof mark.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is dark with shallow rifling and some pitting. Nickel finish is strong on the small parts but the frame and barrel finish has flaked overall with a gray to brown patina dominating. Finish shows scattered flaking, scratches, and thinning. Loading gate shows some light pitting. Grips are chipped along the edges of the frame with some yellowing. The grip screw head is stripped. Action fails to index the cylinder.
