Lot Description
Lot of Nine Bayonets including Soviet SVT bayonet, and British Pattern 1907
World War I, World War II, Cold War
1.) 9.6" blade length. 14.75" overall with scabbard and hilt. Re-arsenaled SVT bayonet with painted metal scabbard, dipped blued fittings, and lacquered wood grip scales. Left ricasso is struck C within a circle with partial Y within a circle on the right. Partial and illegible marking struck into the rear face of the socket. Number 501 is struck into the left grip.

2.) 8" blade length. 14" overall with scabbard and hilt. French Model 1956 bayonet for the M49/56 self-loading service rifle. Item features a Parkerized finish overall with polished edge and black synthetic grip. Scabbard throat displays maker marking MAT/F while the bayonet itself is unmarked. Scabbard has a green leather hangar riveted in place.

3.) 17.125" blade length. 22.5" overall with scabbard and hilt. British pattern 1907 Bayonet with scabbard featuring a blued metal finish and leather body to the scabbard. Ricasso is struck with the date 1907 over the maker SANDERSON, and shows weak {Broad Arrow} stamp to the right ricasso.

4.) 8.25" blade length. 13" overall with scabbard and hilt. British No. 7 MK I Land Service bayonet featuring a dipped blued finish with metal scabbard in canvas frog, and mounting resin impregnated cloth gripscales with deep finger grooves. Left ricasso struck with model marking NO 7 MK I/L while the rotating pommel is marked with a {Broad Arrow} and M47A marking.

5.) 8.25" blade length. 14" overall with scabbard and hilt. Bright finished Swedish model 1896 bayonet for the Swedish Mauser rifle featuring a fullered single-edged blade. Right ricasso is struck EJ {Anchor} AB, with the left marked {Crown/478}. The serial number to the drag on the scabbard does not match.

6.) 15.75" blade length. 20.75" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight quillon Type 30 Japanese bayonet with the right ricasso struck with the markings of the {Nagoya Arsenal} and {Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho} with the pommel struck with serial number 74352. Comes with scabbard and shows traces of its original blue finish.

7.) 6.4" blade length. 13.5" overall with scabbard and hilt. Soviet 6X5 bayonet for AK-74 pattern rifles featuring synthetic scabbard and hilt and a matte finished blade. Left ricasso shows a faint OTK 77 marking with 952 on the left guard, OTK 4 on the scabbard, 7-2 mold number, and the {Arrow within Triangle} marking of the Izhevsk Arsenal.

8-9.) 19.8" overall. Pair of Soviet Model 1891/30 bayonets featuring blued finishes, {Five Point Star} stamps, and scattered light inspection marks. One bayonet has been electropenned with serial number OC5526.

Condition Report
1.) Good as re-arsenaled. Paint to the scabbard shows some light scuffs along the rear face and the tip. Blade exhibits a gray patina forming, and brown flecking to the hilt components and blade edges. Lacquer finish on the grips is scuffed and flaking.

2.) Very Good. Item shows some light scuffs to the blade finish from being removed from the scabbard, and some mars and discolorations along the edge of the scabbard.

3.) Good as Arsenal Refinished. Bluing is thinning overall with some plum color to the fuller, weakness to the markings in the ricasso, and some light pitting on ricasso. Grip scales exhibit light dents and stains, while the scabbard has abrasions, scratches, and scuffs overall.

4.) Very Good. Blade shows some gray patinated spots forming, and some thinning of the finish on the socket. Grips retain their finish with light scratches, and the scabbard shows some light wear to the tip and body.

5.) Good. Blade retains its polish with a gray to brown patina forming over the grips and scabbard.

6.) Good. Mottled gray to brown patina overall with some traces of blue, and dents and stains over the grips.

7.) Very Good. Item shows some abrasions on the flanks of the blade, finish loss on the edges of the socket, and some scattered light mars.

8-9.) Good. Both items show some handling mars with one retaining most of its blue and the other exhibiting a mottled brown patina overall with oxidized spots.
