A Large Blue and White 'Fu Lion' Porcelain Fish Bowl

LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY

晚清青花佛獅戲繡球大缸
having deep rounded sides rising to a lipped mouth, the exterior painted to show pairs of fu lions playing with brocade balls, between a band of large ruyi heads underneath the recessed neck and a row of crashing waves above the foot.

Diameter 26 x Height 23 in., 66 x 58.4 cm.

Condition Report

Overall decent and stable condition, pitting to the glaze, stains and scratches to the surface, firing imperfections on the inside of the base.
