Eight Chinese Famille Jaune Porcelain Covered Jars and A Chinese Export Blue and White Porcelain Covered Tureen

LATE 19TH CENTURY/EARLY 20TH CENTURY

the tureen of octagonal form, decorated to the long sides with painted floral sprays between flanking mask-form mock handles, the cover surmounted by a fu-lion form finial. The jars decorated in the classic pattern, with seven enclosing gilt-decorated 'bats' cups.

Condition Report

The tureen having several flaking chips to the rim. The jars in overall good stable condition and intact, save one example that is missing the inner cup and has been restored to the cover.
