JADE: 19TH CENTURY. BOX: EARLY 20TH CENTURY

近代銅胎掐絲琺琅嵌玉牌蓋盒
of stylized begonia-form, the cover worked in with tight sections to show various flowerheads borne on dense bifurcating scrolls against a red ground, all inset with nine carved and pierced variform jade pendants, the base and interior with turquoise ground enamelwork.

Height 12 x width 12 x depth 2 1/2 in., 30.5 x 30.5 x 6.4 cm.
