A Pair of Chinese Spinach Jade Covered Vases
19TH CENTURY
清晚期 碧玉雙鏈瓶一對
each worked in low relief to show pine-strewn landscapes reserved in cartouche borders, the body carved to a compressed form, flanked with reticulated handles and a conforming cover surmounted by a fu-lion form finial. The handles supporting long interlocking reticulated chains descending from ruyi-hangers suspending from the top of well-carved bamboo stand fitted with a further pair of miniature stands supporting the base of each vase. 
Height 17 1/4 in., 43.8 cm.
