A George III Mahogany Bachelor's Chest

Early 19th Century

Height 27 1/2 x width 23 1/4 x depth 18 1/4 inches.

Condition Report

Sturdy and attractive condition. The top with its original finish and numerous old, dark small moisture marks which add to the favorable patina. The drawer liners have all been re-built. The handles are all replacements and there are visible plugs where once a handle was on the middle of each drawer. The bottom two drawers are false fronts concealing a single deep drawer, which is the original configuration. Slight age cracks in the sides. Even, original color and finish but later polish.
