A Massive Regency Parcel Ebonized Mahogany Cellarette

19th Century

Height 34 x width 22 x depth 22 inches.

Condition Report

In overall fine and stable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Retains a fairly even color and patina throughout. Areas of splitting to the veneer consistent with underlying age cracks to the carcass. Lock mechanism and latch are replaced, but appear to be fairly early replacements. Lacking a key. One hinge is slightly loose. The hinge and locking alignment is slightly off-center to the case causing the lid to lay slightly off-center from the case, but it closes and is functional.
