An English Brass Culpepper-Type Microscope

18th/19th Century

with rack-and-pinion focusing, circular stage and raised on three S-scroll legs on a mahogany base with reflector, the base with a drawer containing objectives, fish plate, lieberkuhn and others in a pyramid case.
Height 14 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

Height of case 16 inches. Lacking underside of base to microscope stand. Some teeth missing, does not extend fully. Lacquered in decent condition with area of wear consistent with handling and use.
