FIRST EDITION OF FAULKNER'S FIRST GREAT NOVEL, in the first state dust jacket with Maurice Hindus's Humanity Uprooted priced $3.00 on rear panel. Set in fictional Yoknapatawpha County, The Sound and the Fury follows the Compson family as they struggle with the downfall of their family reputation.
