FIRST EDITION, WITH SPILLANE'S SIGNATURE on a slip laid in. SPILLANE'S FIRST NOVEL, which includes the first appearance of private investigator Mike Hammer. By the time Spillane's novel was adapted to film in 1953, it had sold over 3.5 million copies.
