Paiute, Ute, and Sioux Dolls
first half 20th century

lot of 4, includes:

a Paiute doll with manuscript note, -Nevada- Paiute Indian doll made by squaw who chewed the goat skin to shape the face.  Her own hair made the braid. / Given to me by Winfield my darling brother.
height 18 1/2 inches

a Ute doll dressed in a feathered bonnet

a Sioux doll, with head made from recycling a glove

a Sioux doll, with beaded hide dress
