Note:
This bronze situla is of the Hajdú Böszörmény type, which is named after the city in Hungry where two of these bucket-shaped vessels were first found in 1862. It is made from three sheets of hammered bronze held together by rivets. For a similar vessel found in Jutland, Denmark, see a bronze vessel (National Museum of Denmark, Copenhagen, Inv. no. 20419).
