Claude Montana Leather Coat, c.1985
Claude Montana is a French born designer known for his extreme styles that harken back to the 1940's and 1950's as well as futuristic designs like contemporary Thierry Mugler. After founding The House of Montana in 1979, Montana quickly found himself a favorite in the high fashion world.
A similar coat may be found in the MET Museum's collection. Accession Number: 2005.130.1a–d
