Illustrated with the dramatic capture of the fleeing Jefferson in disguise as a woman. RARE: OCLC locates only 5 copies. -- Jeff Davis. New York: Chas. Magnus, [1865]. 5 x 8 in. hand-colored illustrated songsheet (minor brown spotting). With portraits of General Breckenridge and Jefferson Davis with a map of the Confederate Stats, labeled "C.S." encircled in a frame grasped by a devil. -- SMITH, W. Dexter, Jr., author. ESUATACE, Fritz, composer. Jeff's Race for the Last Ditch! Boston: F.N. Carter, 1865. 4to, 14 x 10 3/4 in. sheet music. Original illustrated wrappers (brown spotting, toning at edges). Front wrapper features a full-page lithograph of Davis's capture, dedicated to Lieut. Col. Benjamin D. Pritchard of the 5th Michigan Cavalry who led the regiment which captured Davis. -- Jeff's Last Shift. Capture of Jeff. Davis. May 10th 1865, at Irwinsville, Ga.
