[CIVIL WAR] -- [DAVIS, Jefferson (1808-1889)]. A group of lettersheets, covers, and handbill featuring Confederate symbolism and portraits of Davis, comprising:
11-star Confederate flag with portrait of Davis, printed in red and blue. -- Hon. Jefferson Davis. Champion of the South. Portrait of Davis superimposed against 10-star Confederate flags, crossed cannons, and muskets with bayonets, printed in red and blue. -- Southern Rights and Southern Institutions. Portrait of Davis superimposed against a shield with 11 stars, printed in red and blue. -- Our President Jeff. Davis, Our Vice President Alex. H. Stephens. With a 7-star Confederate flag, printed in black. -- Together, 4 Confederate covers, all approx. 5 1/2 x 3 1/4 in., all in near fine condition.
Southern Rights. N.p.: N.p., [1861?]. 6 1/4 x 7 1/2 in. handbill printed in blue and red (minor toning). Davis's portrait is superimposed over artillery pieces, arms, and 11-star Confederate flags. A facsimile signature is printed below.
Confederate States of America. N.p.: N.p., n.d. 7 1/4 x 9 3/16 in. engraved lettersheet (2 small holes, old creases, a few brown spots). Features two vignettes and Davis's portrait with 2 stanzas of poetry. Unused.
Autograph letter signed ("White"). Paris?, 29 August 1861. 4 pages, 8vo, on letterhead featuring a portrait of Jefferson Davis, Confederate symbolism, and a stanza of poetry, brown stains, short separations at old creases.
