[NATIVE AMERICANAS]. A group of 2 photographs of Sioux and Crow camp scenes, comprising:
ANDERSON, John A., photographer. Sioux Indians. Valentine, NE. 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. boudoir photograph on cardstock mount. Period inscription to verso, "Sioux Indian home, drying beef. Photo by John Anderson, Valentine, Nebr." (soiling to image and mount, few surface abrasions; edge and corner wear to mount including loss to top right corner of mount and print, rounded corners). -- Uncredited 6 1/2 x 4 1/8 in. cabinet photograph on cardstock mount with period inscription in upper margin, "Indian camp near agency," and additional notation to verso, "Crow, probably near Crow Agency, Mont. Ty. ca 1888" (soiling and spotting to image, scratch/slight puncture to print near top edge; edge and corner wear to mount). -- Together, 2 photographs.
