HORSE FIGURES: TANG DYNASTY (618-907); HEAD OF A HORSE: HAN DYNASTY (206 BC - 220 AD)
comprising a pair of pottery figures of horses, one standing upright, the other braying, and a green glazed pottery head of a horse with removable ears.
Height of largest 22 x width 21 in., 55.88 x 53.34 cm.

Note:
The result of Daybreak Laboratory thermoluminescence tests performed on a sample 389A622, from under the right hip joint and 389A589 from the right rear haunch are consistent with the dating of the 'braying' and 'grazing' horses in this lot, respectively. The result of Oxford Authentication Ltd. report on sample C102p79 is consistent with the dating of the horse head.
