[CIVIL WAR]. Sixth plate tintype of a Union sergeant holding a Sharps four-barrel pistol.
Sixth plate seated portrait of a Union cavalry sergeant wearing a shell jacket with gold-highlighted shoulder scales. (Some faint lines of crackling to emulsion, few spots to plate; unsealed.) Housed in a full pressed paper case with patriotic motif (surface wear). The officer holds a Sharps breechloading four-barrel pepperbox pistol against his torso with one hand.
