Pebbled leather boards  (light surface wear). Adhered label to front pastedown identifies the album to "G.F. Hutchinson / Plattsburgh, N.Y."  

Most photographs with Schreiber & Sons credit printed on mount recto and/or in the negative (some including date); versos with Schreiber & Sons "Animal Portraits" imprint and inscribed identification. Album pages inscribed with names and, in many cases, additional information about each horse, including pedigree, notable attributes, etc.
