Photographer's credit to lower left of image, with very faded ink stamp on verso. An elderly woman stands in the doorway of the cabin. -- 7 1/2 x 4 5/8 in. albumen photograph on cardstock mount (toning, loss to upper right corner; discoloration, soiling and a few creases and tears to mount edges and corners including significant tear with verso adhesive repair to left margin). Five men stand outside of a log cabin, some carrying and leading raccoons on leashes . -- 5 5/8 x 3 7/8 in. cabinet photograph on cardstock mount (light toning to image;, light spotting/discoloration to mount). Reading, PA: New York Gallery, [ca 1888]. Studio imprints on mount recto and verso. A group of men pose outside of a log cabin with what appears to be a jugate banner and a campaign sign. Both are largely illegible, but appear to be in support of Harrison. A photocopied version of the verso (included in this lot) reproduces inscribed identities of the men in the photograph and on the banner along with date "October 1888," all written according to a "Wm K. Young 5/22/1940." -- Together, 3 photographs.
