[CIVIL WAR]. Sixth plate tintype and ruby ambrotype of Union soldiers armed with muskets with bayonets.
Sixth plate tintype. (Image a touch dark, slight blemish to right of soldier, otherwise very good clarity.) Housed in full pressed paper case (reinforced at hinge). A studio view of a Yankee soldier standing, holding his musket with fixed bayonet to his side. He wears blue tinted trousers and a lacquered kepi to protect the hat from rain. The soldier poses in front of a canvas backdrop.
[With:] Sixth plate ruby ambrotype. (Tarnish and discoloration to perimeter of plate, some spotting.) Housed in half pressed paper case. Studio view of a Union soldier wearing a McDowell style forage cap and cap box on his belt, holding a musket with bayonet.
