Visible 25 7/8 x 21 1/4 in. (offsetting, some brown spotting); 29 1/2 x 23 5/8 in. (not examined out of frame).

John Albion Andrew (1818-1867), was a Republican, radical abolitionist, and 25th governor of Massachusetts. He overwhelmingly won his re-election to a 5th term in the 1864 elections, taking nearly 72% of the votes. The address advertised by this broadside is Andrew's efforts to support gubernatorial nominee Reuben E. Fenton and other Republican candidates in New York where the races were much closer and more hotly contested. Fenton would defeat Democrat Horatio Seymour in 1864 by a slim margin.
