A recruitment probably for Company A in the 7th Pennsylvania Infantry. The broadside does advertise the inclusion of the Gray Reserves militia who formed into the 118th and 119th Pennsylvania Infantries from their ranks (Maier, Larry B. Rough and Regular: A History of Philadelphi'as 119th Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, the Gray Reserves). 

Captain Charles S. Smith enlisted as a captain and was commissioned into Company A of the 7th on 12 September 1862. He mustered out shortly thereafter with the regiment, on 26 September 1862. Although this broadside advertises three months service, the unit was only in service for 30 days. The regiment was formed in the huge recruitment drive during the autumn of 1862 when the threat of invasion in southern Pennsylvania and Maryland was acutely felt.
