11 13/16 x 18 3/4 in. printed broadside (toned, minor soil at original folds); framed to 15 3/4 x 22 3/4 in. (not examined out of frame). Signed in type by A.B. Webb, "Attorney and Counselor at Law, and Solicitor of Claims and Patents."
A broadside intended for Civil War veterans advertising updates to the pension laws issued by a lawyer and solicitor of claims. The act here is "to relieve soldiers from the charge of Desertion and grant all such soldiers their full dues" and to "grant Soldiers marked as deserters Honorable discharge papers" thus making them eligible for pensions. Other payments and increase are detailed as well.
