[COLONIAL CURRENCY -- SOUTH CAROLINA]. A group of 3 notes for $2, $6, and $70, dating from 1776, 1777, and 1779.
Six Dollars, issued 23 December 1776. “Camel” vignette. Three signatures. -- Two Dollars, issued 23 December 1777. "Rooster" vignette. Three signatures. -- Seventy Dollars, issued 8 February 1779. "Hope and Anchor" vignette on obverse, "Prometheus Attacked by a Vulture" on reverse. Three signatures.
Together, 3 notes, 2 3/4 x 4 3/4 in., or smaller. Condition consistent with age and use, including toning, fading to signatures, edge and corner wear to notes.
