Eleventh edition of Cramer's navigational guide to the Ohio and Mississippi rivers, the "most widely used guide to western waters in the early period, both before and after the application of steam in 1807" (Howes). the Navigator first included an account of the discoveries of Lewis and Clark in the sixth edition of 1808, present also in this edition. The Appendix includes a summary of Lewis and Clark's discoveries based on a letter written by William Clark to his brother in Louisville (see Wagner-Camp 4).
