the metal body is finely painted in a palette incorporating various tones of yellow, pink, green, and blue to depict festooned sprays of lotus, peony, and passionflower against a yellow ground, engulfed in a simulated sash of pink brocade woven with hexagonal cells reserving bats and butterflies, the lime reverse peaking out from delicate folds imitating a knotted bow. The sash particularly obscuring foliate four foliated cartouches organized beneath a lobed collar, painted with descending lingzhi sprays enclosed in individual panels. The ovoid base slightly recessed and painted to the lime ground with a halo of asters encircling a four-character Qianlong mark painted within a white double lozenge.
