A Scottish George II Style Mahogany Tall Case Clock

John Gray, Portsoy, 19th Century

double fuse movement, with original pendulum and weights.

Height 84 inches.

Condition Report

There is crazing to the clock face and loss of enamel to the lower left edge of clock, signature is rubbed slightly. The case is in good stable condition. There is a filled joint at the upper edge of the case and a few minor stress cracks. Overall the finish is strong and even. The finial has caused a slight break and repair to the wood encasing the post. The weights and pendulum are present, we have not tested to see if it is in working order.
