Robert and William Wilson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1825-46

both with engraved presentation reading The / Directors of the / Commercial Bank of Penna / to / James Dundas / A Testimony of Respect / 1849.
both stamped R&W Wilson on underside.

James Hepburn Dundas (1786-1865) was a prominent figure in the commercial and financial circles of Philadelphia and served as President of Pennsylvania Bank. In 1830, he purchased the site known as Lafayette Vauxhall Garden, at the intersection of Broad and Walnut Streets, and built the famous Dundas-Lippincott Mansion, also known as "the Yellow Mansion."

Condition Report
In overall fine and stable condition. Minor surface wear to each. One with several small dents just above shoulder and scratch to neck. Other with scratches to either side of neck.
