Lot Description
[KOREAN WAR]. Album containing photographs taken in Korea, incl. soldiers and local subjects.

15 x 10 3/4 in. "Memory of Korea" photograph album containing over 50 black and white photograhs dating to the Korean War (ca 1950-1953). Images 8 x 10 in. and smaller, some unmounted in the album and others loose and accompanying the album. Subjects include soldiers during off duty time, Korean street scenes, Korean men, women, and children, and a number of images showing soldiers with camera equipment.

Though the album itself does not have a name identification on it, images in the collection, some with inscriptions, seem to indicate that the owner was a photographer, possibly with the 7th Logisitc Command, 181st Signal Company (Photo).

The 181st campaign participation credits include:  UN Offensive; CCF Intervention; CCF Spring Offensive; UN Summer-Fall Offensive; Second Korean Winter; Korea, Summer-Fall 1952; Third Korean Winter; Korea, Summer 1953.
