Lot Description
[POSTCARDS]. A group of 105 RPPC of occupational subjects incl. railroad workers and photographers.

The lot is comprised of the following: approx. 96 real photo postcards, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in., or smaller, some unused, and 9 silver gelatin photographs, 4 x 6 in., or smaller, featuring occupational subjects as well as exterior and interior views of businesses, factories, and other establishments. Many of the scenes are identified in the negative. 

Highlighted titles/scenes include: Multiple classroom scenes, incl. a view of a teacher with his student, who is doodling on the chalkboard. -- 3 images of men and one woman with cameras. -- Multiple images of railroad employees. -- Surveyors with their equipment. -- View of Sol Ripinksy's General Merchandise store with furs on display. -- Porch scene showing several women gathered together, possibly teachers. -- Valentine & Bell, Trick Bicycle Riders. -- Photographer's home, identified to M.T. Benning, Lake Tahoe, CA. -- Interior view of a cigar store. -- Engineers at work in their office. -- Medical students with a cadaver. -- Multiple images of storefronts, incl. the Coffee Club. -- View of the Albert Lea Fire Department in Minnesota. -- Ladies' Orchestra performing at Beth's Cafe. -- Interior view of a telephone company. -- Men working the oilfields. -- Exterior view of people lined up outside the establishment of N.S. Bunker Tailoring. -- Interior view of what appears to be women working at a laundry. 

Together, more than 105 real photo postcards and photographs. Condition generally good to very good. Some with edge wear, toning, and album residue to verso.
