A group of 19 items, including: a real photo postcard, a Republican National Convention ticket and official program from the Chicago convention, invitations to Republican campaign events, and policy papers and speeches.
Charles Evans Hughes was an American statesman and politician who served as 11th Chief Justice of the United States (1930-1941), 36th Governor of New York, and the 44th US Secretary of State. In 1916 Hughes resigned his position as Associate Justice on the Supreme Court to accept the Republican presidential nomination. He narrowly lost to Woodrow Wilson.
