EISENHOWER, Dwight D. Typed letter signed ("Dwight D Eisenhower"), to Al Merryman. Indio, CA, 27 April 1966. 1 page, 4to, on DDE gilt letterhead, with original envelope, some tears to envelope.
Eisenhower rights to Mr. Merryman thanking him for "the fine rendition of the Sallman painting of Christ." Further stating that he "shall eventually send it to the Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas for display and safe keeping."
[With:] EISENHOWER, Mamie Doud (1896-1975). Typed letter signed ("Mamie Doud Eisenhower"), to Al Merryman. Gettysburg, PA, 5 June 1972. 1 page, 8vo, 6 x 7 1/4 in., on Mamie Doud Eisenhower letterhead, with original envelope, letter trimmed, envelope torn with adhesive residue and mounted to card. Eisenhower congratulates Merryman who received the 1971 Huminitarian in the Eisenhower Concept award.
