18 x 17 in. display containing: typed letter signed ("LBJ"), 1p, 7 x 9 in. (light soil including a diagonal line across left side). Austin, Texas, 18 April 1972. Addressed to Mr. Christopher Watson. Johnson expresses his appreciation for the kind words from Mr. Watson, noting "...while I am around I'll be happier because you took the time to say such kind and cheering things." Letter mounted above accompanying mailing envelope which bears Johnson's engraved free frank signature ("Lyndon B. Johnson") at top right corner. With copy image of Johnson.
[With:] Group of 5 typed letters signed ("Lyndon B. Johnson"), each appearing to be secretarially signed. Dates May 1951 - June 1952, and primarily relating to the arrangements for Mr. Jerry Wayne Nezat of Orange, Texas, to take the Civil Service examination for West Point.
