Philip Hulitar (1905-1992) lauched his own label in 1949 after nearly 20 years of success as one of Bertgdorf Goodman's top designers and head of its women's dress division. Hulitar enjoyed tremendous success throughout the 1950-60s and later became active in Palm Beach, Florida.

The overall condition is good. There are small spots throughout primarily along the center front and towards the hem. There are also a few soiled spots on the back right panel and center back towards the hem. A few of the seams on the center front are beginning to unravel,
