Lot Description
Nina Ricci Evening Dress, c. 1990
Evening dress made of blue and black iridescent taffeta mixed with black velvet, lace, and feathers. The bodice is made of taffeta overlayed with black lace and cut with long sleeves that are cuffed with black feathers. Decorative buttons are down the center front. The waistline is outlined with a panel of black lace. The full skirt is pin-tucked into the waistline. The blue skirt is woven with a floral panel at the hem and the fullness of the skirt is supported with an inner band of stiffened fabric at the hem. The back of the dress has a see-through panel covered in black lace, a large taffeta bow, and an asymmetrical snap and zipper closure.

The overall condition is very good with only a section of the lining coming loose. This is not visible from the exterior.
The overall condition of the headpiece is poor as the middle area has lost feathers.
