LATE QING DYNASTY
清晚期 硬木書卷式太師椅
with elaborately carved openwork splat in the form of elongated, archaistic kui dragons, the curved arm rails with further archaistic kui dragons, the shaped aprons carved with square-form scrolls, the whole supported on legs of square section terminating in scroll-form feet and joined by thick stretchers above plain aprons.
