Condition Report
Framed: 30 3/4 x 28 1/2 inches.
Canvas is lined; minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; passages of the background appear to have been somewhat overcleaned; areas of lighter tonality along the woman's hairline, also a possible result from overcleaning; inpainting is visible under normal viewing condition within the darker lines of brown of the woman's coat. Under UV light, varnish appears to have been selectively cleaned around woman's head and throughout the background; dots of inpainting within and around the ear; a stroke of inpainting through the lower edge of the neck; additional strokes of inpainting throughout the coat and around the hand, as well as to the right of the shoulder; there is also a thin line of horizontal inpainting along the lower edge. Additional images available upon request.
