Morgan, in a similar (if not identical) binding by Pagnant. [Laid-in:] A 20th-century newspaper clipping reporting on Morgan's purchase of Tissot's Bible, with a photograph of the binding and a reproduction of the check; reportedly, Morgan paid $5,000 for his copy in 1905.
