Lot Description
ANTIQUE, SAPPHIRE AND MICROMOSAIC PENDANT
Consisting of a pendant in a quatrefoil design, with later set oval cabochon sapphire measuring approximately 26.00 x 18.00 mm, decorated with micromosaic panels depicting the symbols of the Eucharist, inscribed on the reverse 'Donne Par S.S Le Pape Pie IX a Lucie Fririon, 15 Janvier 1863', together with a pendant containing one oval citrine intaglio depicting the Madonna. Mounted in yellow gold. 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and 2 x 1 3/8 inches.
Gross weight: 42.00 dwt.
By tradition, the micromosaic pendant was originally set with the citrine cameo of the Madonna, which was later unmounted and replaced with the present cabochon sapphire.

Condition Report
Measurements: The micromosaic pendant measures approximately 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and the citrine pendant measures approximately 2 x 1 3/8 inches.
Overall Condition: Acid test indicates 18 karat gold for both.
