Lot Description
[AFRICAN AMERICANA - EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. Tintype of young African American man, likely occupational.
Approx. 2 3/8 x 3 3/8 in. loose tintype (denting to lower left, wear to edges, light surface wear). A young African American sits in a fringed studio chair before a painted backdrop, wearing a blue-tinted bowtie and a slouch hat. His jacket features a a cuff trim and his trousers feature a wide vertical stripe down the side, though they are more than likely occupational rather than military.
