Vertical 8vo (3 7/8 x 7 1/4 in.). Illustrated. (Some toning to margins.) Original illustrated boards, plastic comb spiral bound (adhesive repair to crease on reverse side of front cover, other wear to extremities including some soiling and light creases). "Notes" section includes penciled address of a couple residing in New Orleans, LA.
FIRST EDITION cookbook by Ruth Prevost who hosted a cooking show on New Orleans television channel WDSU under the pseudonym Amanda "Mandy" Lee from 1950 until her death at 1954. Recipes include New Orleans specialties including "Old Plantation Okra Gumbo", "Crawfish Creole", and "Mandy's Baked Pralines." RARE: OCLC locates only 3 copies.
