Lot Description
[TRANSPORTATION]. Titanic grouping highlighted by a postcard from survivor Oscar Johansson to survivor Anna Sjöblom, 13 May 1912.

Milwaukee souvenir postcard (soiling, general wear consistent with age and use). Addressed to a survivor of the Titanic, Miss Anna Sofia Sjöblom (1894-1975) postmarked at Manitowoc, WI a month after the infamous sinking, 13 May 1912. The author, another survivor by the name of Oscar Johansson (1879-1967) writes entirely in Swedish, asking how Anna is doing in her new country and mentioning that he will not forget the 15th of April. 

[With:] Real photo postcard featuring an image of the Titanic titled "S.S. Titanic" in the negative. -- 11 3/8 x 9 1/4 in. silver gelatin photograph featuring the Titanic (light toning). Titled and credited to Beken of Cowes in the negative. -- 1 3/8x 2 5/8 in. advertising card featuring an illustration of the RMS Olympic beneath text reading, "Olympic and Titanic, Each 45,000 Tons." Advertisement for Bournvill Cocoa and Cadbury's Chocolates on verso. -- 3 printed items related to the Titanic.
