6 3/8 x 8 1/2 in. albumen photograph on 9 3/4 x 11 3/4 in. mount with imprint of "Dept. of the Interior, US Geological Survey of the Territories. Prof. F.V. Hayden in Charge" (toning to print; corner and edge wear to mount, including tears, creasing, corner loss, some surface loss to top edge of mount verso). Mount recto includes credit to William Henry Jackson and manuscript identification.
The Crow subject is shown standing in front of a building constructed from wood siding at Yellowstone River, Montana. He wears a beaded necklace, wool blanket, and moccasins.
