Lot Description
[DAKOTA]. The Mercantile Agency Reference Book (And Key) with A List of Banks and Bankers, State Collection Laws, Maps, Etc. New York: R. G. Dun & Co., 1908. 

Square 8vo. Two maps of North Dakota printed on one folding sheet. Original flexible leather, upper cover gilt-lettered, edges stained red, printed endleaves. 

A printed guide to credit ratings of North Dakota businesses, published for January 1909. The upper cover title reads: "No. Dakota January 1909 Property of R. G. Dun & Co., 841." The folding map depict North Dakota on recto and a North Dakota distance map on verso.  Credit rating books printed by R. G. Dunn such as this, which were printed in small numbers for limited in-house distribution, are VERY SCARCE: OCLC only traces no copies of North Dakota guides.
