Lot Description
[WESTERN AMERICANA]. A group of 3 photographs of armed cowboys, incl. large format photograph taken by Mrs. ALBRIGHT, Albuquerque, NM. Ca 1880s.
Portrait of a cowboy standing in a studio setting, wearing a cartridge belt with a pistol tucked in the holster. 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. photograph on cardstock mount. Albuquerque, NM: Mrs. Albright's Art & Parlors (even toning to print and mount; edge and corner wear to mount, including some corner loss).
[With:] 2 cabinet photographs, each 4 x 5 1/2 in., on cardstock mounts, including: Standing portrait of a young man in a studio setting wearing fringed gauntlets, each adorned with a star. He also carries a pistol in his holster. El Paso, TX: A.J.T. Joslin (toning, soiling, and surface wear to print and mount; edge and corner wear to mount). -- Studio view of two young men posed with their rifles. Each subject wears a cartridge belt, and the subject at left wears fringed pants. Ashland, WI: C.E. Randall (toning and some fading to print, unexamined outside frame). Housed in wooden, folk art frame with floral accents.
