A group of 12 hand colored engravings each with the same scene titled "New Orleans" and featuring a view of New Orleans from the lower cotton press, ca 1852. 7 1/2 x 4 3/8 in., overall approx. 9 1/4 x 5 3/4 in. (conditions vary, most with toning, some with light chipping or loss, creasing, scattered marks). "Eng'd by Capewell & Kimmel 208, Broadwy, N. York" and "Sold by C. Magnus & Co. 18 Frankfort St."
[With:] A group of two 19th-century advertising circulars -- A small array of 19th-century manuscript material, some in French, including stampless lettersheets, a promissory note to a Louisiana plantation owner, a merchandise invoice; treasury checks from State National Bank of New Orleans; and New Orleans Bank drafts; State of Louisiana bonds; and signatures of Governor Henry Johnson, New Orleans Mayor Abdii Crossman, and New Orleans Mayor William Freret.
