Lot Description
[NATIVE AMERICANS]. 8 photographs, incl. cyanotype of Native Americans attributed to Edward CURTIS.

Cyanotype of three unidentified Native American subjects in traditional dress, attributed to Edward Curtis (as per consignor's notes), late 19th century. 3 3/8 x 5 1/2 in. cyanotype with penciled notations to verso, including "XX. T." and "A.M." (edges appear to have been trimmed).

[With:] 2 1/4 x 3 1/8 in. cyanotype of four totem poles, ca 1904. Uncredited (light toning to margins). -- 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. cyanotype postcard (including margins) of unidentified First Nations family. Uncredited, with message on verso, postmarked 1908 (very fine condition). 

[Also with:] 5 silver gelatin photographs of Navajo subjects, most hand colored, each 7 3/4 x 9 3/4 in. Uncredited, but with penciled captions on verso, ca 1900 (Navajo smoking cigarette with vertical crease, some with edge and corner wear). 

Together, 8 photographs. Condition generally good unless otherwise noted.
